IDI Logistics has partnered with Five Below, a leading high-growth value retailer, to develop a 715,000-square-foot distribution center in Monroe County, Ga. Expandable to one million square feet, this state-of-the-art facility will support Five Below’s rapidly growing number of retail stores in the southeastern U.S.
Five Below strategically selected Meridian 75 Logistics Center in Monroe County for the home of their new distribution center due to its growing labor force and excellent location with proximity to Interstates 75 and 16 – two arteries that provide accessibility to the Southeast and the Port of Savannah. In addition, Five Below will benefit from a generous incentive package from the State of Georgia and Monroe County. The new facility will initially create more than 130 jobs in Monroe County.
“We’re proud to provide Five Below the development at Meridian 75 Logistics Center which meets the retailer’s growing needs and will provide the company with logistical advantages. This project represents an investment that will have a positive impact on the local community in Monroe County, as well as Five Below’s customers,” said Ryan Wood, Market Officer for IDI Logistics. “This innovative facility enables Five Below to grow its business and we look forward to providing them with a superior facility in an excellent location.”
This is the first building being developed at Meridian 75 Logistics Center and IDI Logistics’ first 40’ clear height facility in Georgia. Additional sites are available in the park for up to 1.9 million square feet of future development.
Bob Robers and Pat Murphy of Cushman & Wakefield represented IDI Logistics in the transaction.
