Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a 38,794-square-foot lease at Marquis I, part of Peachtree Center located in the heart of in Downtown Atlanta, for the State Road & Tollway Authority (SRTA) to consolidate its two locations into one and expand its office and retail operations.

The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) is merging with SRTA at the new office, which will offer a fresh design and efficient, collaborative space.

“After surveying the market for viable alternative locations to accommodate GRTA and SRTA’s consolidation and expansion, Peachtree Center was the best fit,” said April Parrish, Senior Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Office Tenant Representation Group. “The property offered a needed retail presence in addition to office space, as well as countless amenities for employees and customers.”

“Peachtree Center is a good fit for the needs of our combined and growing offices,” said Chris Tomlinson, Executive Director of SRTA and GRTA. “The site also provides us the opportunity to open our first joint retail customer center in a convenient and attractive Downtown location for both Peach Pass and Xpress Commuter Coach customers.”

The lease includes 2,394 square feet of retail space and 36,400 square feet of office space. Parrish, along with Kirk Diamond, Erin Smith and Steven Taylor with Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the lease transaction, and Mike Werner, Davie Horne and Kay Younglove with JLL represented the landlord, Banyan Street Capital.
