Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a lease with Square, Inc., a financial technology company, at the BB&T Tower, a Class A office building located at Atlantic Station in the heart of Midtown. Laura Power and John Zintak of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the transaction. Brooke Gothard, Leigh Martin and Travis James of JLL represented the tenant.
“Square, Inc. needed a lease that would allow for future expansion, but wanted to remain in Midtown to attract talent, offer easy access to public transportation and further establish their brand in the market,” Power said. “BB&T Tower checked all the boxes for their requirements.”
The 25-story, 541,870-square-foot trophy office tower, known as BB&T Tower, is home to major companies including BB&T, Sage Software and Womble Carlyle. Built in 2009, it is the newest office tower constructed at Atlantic Station. Amenities include branch banking, concierge and conference facilities.
