Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a 16,000-square-foot lease for Piedmont Internal Medicine, P.C., a private practice specializing in the management and treatment of adult medicine, at Northwest Medical Center in Atlanta. George Olmstead and Brandon Wallace of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Tommy Tift III, James McClintock and Wheeler Briggs of HealthAmerica Realty Group represented Northwest Medical Center, which is located at 3280 Howell Mill Rd.
“The opportunity to create a custom-built space in the heart of Buckhead made Northwest Medical Center the perfect choice for Piedmont Internal Medicine, P.C. as they seek to expand their operations,” Olmstead said. “HealthAmerica and Harrison Street’s renovation efforts have elevated Northwest Medical Center to make it one of the submarket’s premier medical office buildings.”
The first-floor location will make it easy for patients to access the clinic through several entrance options including a patient drop-off and wheelchair ramp into the first-floor lobby. Additionally, the parking deck offers covered walkways straight into the building on both the second and third floor.
“We wanted Piedmont Healthcare System to have a strong presence in the Howell Mill/Buckhead area, and we value that Northwest Medical Center is owned and managed by healthcare real estate driven companies,” said Kelly Ladd, CEO and Practice Administrator at Piedmont Internal Medicine, P.C.
“We wanted a space that we could make our own and provide care to the community in a comfortable and warm setting,” she added. “We are hopeful more specialists will open offices in the building. This would make it a one-stop shop for patients and increase access for surrounding neighborhoods.”
Piedmont Internal Medicine, P.C. is expected to open in September.
